Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Gökalp (Project Lead)
 
A faculty member in the Department of Educational Sciences at Middle East Technical University (METU). She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Southern California (USC). After completing her doctorate, she worked at the USC Rossier School of Education’s Doctoral Support Center, developing academic programs and providing consultation for doctoral students on  dissertation writing. At METU, she established the Graduate Academic Support Unit as part of a Future Faculty Development Program project, offering workshops and writing camps on research methods, thesis writing, and time management. Her research interests include graduate education, doctoral student development and well-being, academic career preparation, and crisis and crisis management in higher education.

 

Prof. Dr. Armağan Erdoğan (Advisor)

She completed her master's and doctoral studies at the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom with a scholarship from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), in English and Comparative Literary Studies. She earned her associate professorship in 2015 in the newly established field of Higher Education Studies. She began her academic career at Kırıkkale University, where she served as faculty member, department chair, and head of the international relations unit. Between 2008 and 2012, she worked at the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) as Director of International Relations and Advisor to the President, coordinating the Bologna Process in Turkey and representing the country in various international platforms. Her research focuses on higher education policy, internationalization, the Bologna Process, quality assurance, and gender equality in higher education.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Hasan Yücel Ertem

He is an associate professor in the Department of Educational Sciences at the Ereğli Faculty of Education, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. Ertem completed his undergraduate education in the Physics Education program at Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2011. Appointed as a Physics Teacher through the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) in 2011, Ertem served as a Physics Teacher and Deputy Principal at the Ministry of National Education (MEB) between 2011 and 2013. Ertem began his graduate education at METU in 2013, getting a Master's degree in Educational Administration in 2015 and a Doctorate in 2018. Dr. Ertem, who was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2021, focuses his research on higher education, leadership, school development, and mental health. Dr. Ertem is department chair and faculty member in the Educational Administration program and also serves as the vice-dean of the Faculty of Education.

Assistant Prof. Dr. Hatice Çilsalar Sağnak

She works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Sciences at Yozgat Bozok University. She received her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle East Technical University and was a visiting researcher in the Department of Learning Technologies at the University of Delaware in the United States during 2016–2017. She currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and organizes adult training. She carries out a variety of research projects funded by TÜBİTAK, leads several research teams, and her research concentrates on the use of technology in curriculum development, evaluation, pre-service teacher training, and teacher education, and conducts research aimed at enhancing instruction through technology and analyzing how faculty members integrate technology in higher education institutions.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sonay Caner-Yıldırım

An interdisciplinary researcher working at the intersection of computer science education, educational technology, and social sciences. Her work examines the interaction of technology, learning, and social factors, particularly in the context of diversity, equity, and inclusion. At the core of her work is systematic intervention design in three interconnected areas: ensuring equitable access to computer science education; developing technological solutions for psychological well-being and advancing digital fairness; and ensuring that digital technologies and tools are accessible, usable, and equitable for vulnerable groups. As an active participant in a number of COST Actions addressing issues of digital fairness, digital mental health, cybersecurity behaviors, and gender equity in computing, she contributes her expertise in educational technology to these pan-European research networks.

Dr. Ümran Yüce-Selvi

She completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and PhD in Social Psychology at Middle East Technical University (METU). She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Eskişehir Osmangazi University, where she conducts research at the intersection of social and industrial-organizational psychology. Her primary research interests include job insecurity, unemployment, work-related stressors, motivation, leadership, social cohesion, and group dynamics. She has worked on TÜBİTAK-funded projects and held a visiting researcher position at Stockholm University’s Department of Psychology between 2019 and 2020. She is also a member of the Turkish research team of the COST ReMO (Researcher Mental Health) Action.

Ayşenur Şahin

She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology at Middle East Technical University (METU). She received her bachelor's degree in English Language Teaching from METU and completed her master's degree in the Computer Education and Instructional Technology program at the same university, with a focus on Augmented Reality. Between 2022 and 2023, she took part in Erasmus projects in Valencia, Spain, focusing on the use of AR-VR technologies in education.

Her academic research primarily focuses on technology-enhanced learning environments, language education, AI-supported learning, augmented and virtual reality applications, and gamification-based learning design. Additionally, she is actively involved in Erasmus+ and international education projects, conducting research on the design of technology-enhanced learning environments, student experience, and well-being.
